CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte Black Restaurant Week is back for two weeks this 2021 bringing discounts and new menu items through Halloween day.

Hosted by Black Business Owners of Charlotte (BBOC), nine restaurants have announced that they will be participating in the 5th Annual Charlotte Black Restaurant Week from October 18th through October 31st.

These participating restaurants include:

  •  Cuzzo’s Cusine.
  • Roy’s Kitchen & Bar.
  • Brad’s Coffee Bar.
  • Derita Dairy Bar & Grill.
  • Mr. Seafood CLT.
  • Hip Hop Smoothies.
  • BW Sweets Bakery.
  • Mr. 3’s Crabpot Bar and Grill in Gastonia.
  • Mr. 3’s Crabpot Seafood in Charlotte.

Due to COVID-19’s devastating impact on Black-owned restaurants, BBOC officials say they are waiving all fees for participating locations as well as fitting the bill for all marketing, signage, permits, and other expenses.

BBOC officials also thank their sponsors who they say helped offset 65 percent of the expenses this year.

Everyone is encouraged, even if they can’t participate in Charlotte Black Restaurant Week, to donate to the BBOC non-profit which provides black business owners avenues to revenue.

BBOC officials say their nonprofit organization is dedicated to the empowerment of future and established Black Businesses and underserved communities by providing developmental, technical, promotional, and financial assistance.
