Bright Skies, Warmer Highs Arrive

The sunny 70s take over as the warmest air we’ve seen in two weeks arrives by Tuesday.

November’s gotten off to a chilly, winter-like start, but sunshine and temperatures in the 70s return to prominence around the Piedmont this week. The clouds from a coastal system to our east will slowly melt away this Saturday afternoon and evening, leaving us with clear skies overnight. While high temperatures remain above average for much of the week ahead, the lack of cloud coverage will keep things on the cold side during the nights. Frost advisories are in effect for many locations around the Metro as we wake up Monday morning.

Expect sunny skies to carry through midweek before a rainmaking system arrives from the west by Thursday night. Rain chances don’t look too impressive for now, but clouds, scattered showers, and cooler air should close out the second week of the month.

Tonight: Clear and cold. Low: 38°. Wind: N 5-10.

Monday Night: Clear, calm, and chilly. Low: 43°. Wind: Light.
