Bundle up and be sure the pets and the plants are inside!
Freeze Warning from 2 am – 10 am across portions of the Piedmont
Frost Advisory from 3 am – 9 am across upstate SC, Mecklenburg Co. and points SE of Charlotte
The reason there are no warnings/advisories in the High Country is the growing season has ended.
A dry and cool high pressure will build across the region tonight and stick around through the weekend. Patchy fog and patchy frost is possible overnight as low temperatures bottom out in the upper 20s across the High Country and low to mid 30s across the Piedmont. The good news is that the gloom makes way for sunshine. While it will take a bit, temperatures will gradually rise through the weekend into next week with plenty of sunshine in store.
Tonight: Upper 20s in the Mountains and low to mid 30s in the Piedmont. Patchy frost and patchy fog likely.
Friday: A better day – dry, but cold! Mix of sun and clouds. High: Mid 50s. Wind: NE 5-10.
Friday PM: Low: Mid 30s. Patchy frost possible. Wind: NE 5-10.
Saturday: Mostly Sunny. High: Mid to upper 50s. N/NE 5-10.
