CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a homicide after a man was found fatally shot in northeast Charlotte Sunday night.
Officers responded to Flat River Drive, off of West W.T. Harris Boulevard, around 10:30 p.m. in reference to an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Upon arrival, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
Medic transported the unidentified victim to Atrium Main where he was later pronounced dead from injuries sustained.
The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
