CHARLOTTE, NC- Dozens of people lined up at a Charlotte area Walmart to catch a glimpse of DaBaby and get a $100 gift card for the holidays.
The Grammy nominated rapper put the notice out on social media about the event at the Walmart on North Tryon St. in the university area.
When he arrived, people rushed his car trying to get a picture and a gift card. DaBaby was eventually able to get out of his vehicle and hand out the gift cards.
“I truly think that’s great. you don’t have too many rappers that’s really out here for the city, for us,” said one woman in the crowd.
This isn’t the first time DaBaby has given back to the Charlotte community. He’s held Thanksgiving and Christmas events for several years.
