Juvenile Arrested, Charged For Shooting At Vehicle With People Inside In Rock Hill


ROCK HILL, S.C. — A juvenile has been charged with attempted murder after being accused of shooting at a vehicle with people inside in Rock Hill, according to police.

Officers responded to the intersection of Workman Street and Flint Street Extension around 6:40 p.m. on Sept. 10 after receiving a call in reference to shots being fired.

The caller stated that the suspect on a bicycle fired shots at a Mercedes on Workman Street. The young suspect then dropped his bicycle and ran on foot toward East Main Street.

The Police Department received a call from the two victims who were in the Mercedes later that evening. Officers observed bullet holes on the vehicle consistent with the story.

Detectives arrested a 14-year-old juvenile Thursday for the shooting. The juvenile was charged with two counts of attempted murder, unlawful carrying of a pistol, possession of a pistol by a person under 18, and possession of a weapon during a crime of violence, according to police.
