Discussion:
Starting off the morning with temps in the upper 40s for much of the region. Seeing a little patchy fog for southern Piedmont, but overall mainly clear skies. Wind will pick up this afternoon ahead of a cold front. Showers are likely for the mountains, but rain won’t quite make it to the Piedmont with just an isolated shower sneaking through this evening. Blustery for the higher elevations with gusts 40+ mph possible overnight into Friday. Temps will fall into the 30s and 40s for the rest of the region with a chilly north wind. Highs will reach the low to mid-50s through Saturday. Another cold front will bring better rain chances to the area late Sunday into Monday. Rain will likely change briefly to snow for the mountains early Monday morning as colder air sinks in place early next week. Overnight lows will fall well below freezing with highs not getting out of the 40s before the Thanksgiving holiday.
