CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Mallard Creek High School was placed on lockdown Thursday after a series of fights broke out.
The series of fights happened before noon leading to the lockdown, according to Principal Dean of Mallard Creek.
Law enforcement was called to the school to ensure the safety and security of the students.
The school is on a modified lockdown and lunch is being postponed as officials investigate the incident.
“This is unacceptable behavior and a violation of the Code of Student Conduct,” Principal Dean said. “Students who violate the code will be disciplined accordingly.”
This is a developing story.
