Mild Days, Chilly Nights Return

High pressure to our west will keep things sunny and chilly for the next few days.

We’ve made it to the weekend, but sadly, our newfound warmth won’t survive the trip. High pressure has set up shop to our west, keeping things sunny but much cooler over the next couple of days. Highs will fall into winter-like values in the 40s and 50s through Monday, while morning lows will largely be near or below freezing. A dry cold front sweeps into the Carolinas by Monday morning, which could lead to a few flurries for the High Country. Rain chances remain few and far between as sunshine prevails through midweek. Above-average temperatures return on Wednesday.

Tonight: Pets and plants inside! Freezing lows.  Low: 32°. Wind: N 5-10.

Sunday: Cool sunshine. High: 60°. Wind: SW 5-15.

Sunday Night: Another brisk night. Low: 35°. Wind: W 5-10.

Monday: Winter-like sunshine. High: 57°. Wind: NW 5-15.
