BURKE CO., N.C. — Burke County Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested a 56-year-old man for involvement in an alleged sexual assault involving an adolescent.
Police say they first received a report of the possible sex assault on October 18th.
After continued investigation, a warrant was issued on November 2nd for Raymond Edward Harmon Jr. Burke County Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested a 56-year-old man for involvement in an alleged sexual assault involving an adolescent. charging him with misdemeanor sexual battery in this case, according to a news release.

Police say Harmon was arrested without incident and placed in Burke County Jail under a $2,000 secured bond.
Harmon is scheduled to appear in court on January 10th, according to a news release.
