Police: Driver Of A Stolen Vehicle Arrested After Trying To Flee In North Charlotte


CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have arrested the driver of a stolen vehicle after the suspect attempted to flee from officers in north Charlotte on Thursday.

After responding to reports of a stolen vehicle in the area, officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the driver.

Police say the suspect refused to stop and attempted to flee in the car, but ended up crashing into a structure and attempting to flee on foot near Holland Avenue.

Officers say they were able to locate and arrest the driver of the stolen vehicle after the crash.

The suspect was then taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
