While the weekend should largely remain dry, more rain chances build in by midweek.
The weekend is here and the heat is on! Temperatures are settling around the upper 80s in the Piedmont this Saturday afternoon and you can expect more of the same for Sunday. While it may be a bit cloudier, highs should still top out in the upper 70s and 80s across the board for the second half of the weekend. A few storms may pop up Sunday afternoon, but most communities should remain dry. Unfortunately for fall-lovers, the cloudy and humid conditions stick around for the first half of the workweek. Temperatures fall slightly for our Monday and Tuesday, but humidity and rain chances will continue to build in from the south.
Big changes will come in the form of a strong cold front that arrives by Wednesday, bringing widespread rain chances to the Carolinas. While our Hump Day will be messy, another taste of fall arrives behind it. Expect sunshine and gorgeous conditions in the 60s and 70s from Thursday into the weekend.
