CHESTERFIELD CO., S.C. — S.C. troopers are investigating a fatal head-on collision in Chesterfield County that killed two drivers early Saturday morning.
Troopers say the crash occurred around 1:40 a.m. on S.C. Highway 9 near Taylor Chapel Road.
Initial investigation reveals a driver of a 2004 Ford Ranger was heading east on S.C. Highway 9, when a driver of a 2007 Chevrolet Colorado heading west on the same highway drove left of center and struck the Ford head-on.
Police say both drivers died at the scene following the collision.
The investigation into this collision is active and ongoing.
